Artist's Comments
This is a view of the dome of Rustem Pasha Camii (Mosque), Istanbul, seen through the huge lighting candelabra.
I loved the simple but beautiful style of the mosque. It was planted dead centre into the bazaar district but elevated. It was invisible from the street and we were looking for it when a men pointed us the entrance of a stairwell through a doorway. Up those stairs, utmost silence lived in the courtyard of the mosque even tough the streets below were filled with people and sellers yelling prices at each other. I will remember that place as one of the most striking of my vacation. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on.
